The OSW library was created to serve the needs of the Centre’s analysts. However, due to the growing public interest in the political, economic and social issues concerning the former Soviet Union, we have gradually made the library’s resources available to external users.

The OSW subscribes to around 30 periodicals and newspapers in Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian and Belarusian. We also have a fairly large and constantly expanding collection of books. Finally, the library stores current and archival issues of the OSW publications.

Currently the OSW library resources are accessible to researchers, students, journalists and Central Administration staff members dealing with issues concerning the former USSR.
